3. Long out-of print, this album is a rare gem for metal fans. Dark, brooding, old-school, and heavy as hell, Toranaga basically come across as a heavier, more modern Black Sabbath meets Bruce Dickinson. Dissonant and evil sounding atmospherics, plodding, muscular dirge riffs, and minor key solos are all over this album.5/5(1).

God's Gift, their sophomore album, should have propelled the group to headliner status but a series of bad record label decisions ultimately killed off any chance of God's Gift truly finding a wider audience. After recording an EP as a last ditch effort to keep the band signed to Chrysalis, Toranaga pulled the plug on the entire thing.5/5(1).

8. God’s Gift, TORANAGA’s sophomore album, should have propelled the group to headliner status. The record features barnburners such as the speedy assault of “Psychotic” alongside BLACK SABBATH-like stompers like “Black Is the Mask.”.

Well it Didn't happen all that much, as by this time grind, death metal and crust by the likes of Carcass, etc were dominating the UK metal scene. This stuff is awesome in a Bay Area kind.
