On dira ce qu'on veut de Freedom of Choice, dans le genre proto-synthpop, mais tout de même décalé du troupeau qui ne tardera plus à débouler (surtout d'Angleterre d'ailleurs), c'est une immense réussite, et le dernier grand album de Devo aussi. 1. 5. Freedom of Choice is the third album by new wave musicians Devo, released in on LP. The album was co-produced by Robert Margouleff, famous for his synthesizer work in Tonto's Expanding Head Band and with Stevie Wonder. It contains Devo's most well-known song, "Whip It." 6. referencing Freedom Of Choice, LP, Album, Ltd, RE, Red, R1 My copy is super noisy too, clicks n pops all over the place, the music does sound good, punchy drums and defined low end but the vocal dynamics are limited and this reissue definitely pales in comparison to an original copy.

7. Altogether, there's a little less of the debut's energy, and a little less variety as well. But the songwriting is a match for consistent quality, and moreover, the music on Freedom of Choice is the sound that defines Devo in the minds of many. In the end, that makes it the band's only other truly necessary album.
